As an Ocean Export Agent, you are responsible for managing the full export process of international ocean freight shipments. You ensure that shipments are handled smoothly, accurately, and on time while acting as the key point of contact for customers and global partners. In this role, you combine administrative work, customer interaction, and operational coordination in a dynamic forwarding environment.

Functieomschrijving

    • Coordinate and handle ocean export shipments from A to Z
    • Ensure a smooth and timely flow of freight and information
    • Enter and manage data accurately in operational systems
    • Track & trace shipments and proactively update customers
    • Prepare and verify export documentation
    • Communicate with ocean carriers, trucking companies, and overseas offices
    • Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
    • Send shipping notices and manage international communication
    • Ensure accurate and timely billing for clients and vendors
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency

Profiel

    • Experience in freight forwarding or export (preferably ocean freight)
    • Basic knowledge of export documentation and logistics processes
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven
    • Good command of English (Dutch is a plus)
