Job Description

Process Improvement

  • Analyse and optimise end-to-end chartering processes and SOPs
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement streamlined, scalable ways of working
  • Ensure procedures are up-to-date, practical, and consistently applied



Digitalisation & Automation

  • Drive digital, automation, and AI initiatives within chartering and logistics
  • Lead improvement projects from concept to implementation
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to deliver system and reporting solutions



Data & Analytics

  • Use data to monitor performance, identify trends, and improve processes
  • Define and track KPIs related to efficiency, cost, and compliance
  • Enhance data quality and apply automation or AI tools where relevant

The Successful Applicant

  • Immediately available until December 2026.
  • Experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or digital transformation, ideally within shipping, logistics, supply chain, chartering, or industrial environments
  • Strong experience working with operational teams and managing complex workflows
  • Proven track record in leading process improvement or digitalisation projects
  • Experience in maritime or chartering is a plus, but not required
  • Strong understanding of process mapping, SOP development, and workflow design
  • Solid analytical skills with good data literacy
  • Familiarity with digital tools, automation, and AI concepts
  • Experience with data tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, SQL) and automation tools (e.g. Power Automate, Python)
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical or digital solutions
  • Fluent in Dutch or English
  • VCA Basic certification required
