We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Freight Forwarder to join a growing manufacturing company in the Amsterdam area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to one year of experience to develop within international logistics and supply chain.

Job Description

  • Accept and process export and import ocean freight bookings
  • Coordinate shipments across ocean, with smaller volumes across road and air freight
  • Liaise with suppliers (ocean, air, and road) and support rate negotiations
  • Ensure accurate accrual of costs, invoicing, and completion of shipment files
  • Handle designated key accounts, including coordinating collections, deliveries, and PODs
  • Resolve operational issues and invoice queries efficiently
  • Prepare quotations and support in managing customer accounts
  • Maintain accurate records, invoicing, filing, and general administrative duties

The Successful Applicant

  • Recent graduate or up to 1 year of experience in logistics or freight forwarding
  • Fluency in English is essential; Dutch is a strong advantage
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems efficiently
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Interest in developing a career within freight forwarding and logistics
