Job Description



As a Junior International Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships within the French market. Working closely with a Senior International Account Manager, you will gradually take ownership of existing accounts while also identifying and developing new business opportunities.

This is a highly commercial role that combines account management, business development, customer relationship management, and strategic planning. You will work with retail, foodservice, and B2B customers while collaborating closely with internal teams across supply chain, product development, finance, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop strategic customer accounts within the French market.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with retail, foodservice, and B2B customers.
  • Develop and execute customer business plans to drive sustainable growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments.
  • Expand product listings and distribution within existing and new accounts.
  • Monitor sales performance, margins, and profitability.
  • Support pricing strategies and commercial negotiations.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor insights.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure excellent customer execution.
  • Attend customer meetings, trade fairs, and business events across France.



Regular travel to France is expected, averaging several overnight stays per month.

The Successful Applicant



We are looking for an ambitious commercial professional who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and delivering results. Personality, communication skills, and growth potential are just as important as experience.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years experience in account management, business development, or key account management.
  • Master's or Bachelor degree in Business or equivalent
  • Experience within an FMCG, Retaili or Foodservice is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a proactive approach to business development. ("hunter" mindset)
  • Analytical skills and the ability to translate data into commercial actions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Positive, energetic, and commercially driven.
  • Valid driver's license.



Languages

  • Fluent level of French is mandatory.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Dutch is considered a plus.

  • Annual salary between €50,000 and €60,000 based on fulltime.
