58% of job applicants are optimistic about their career prospects
A large majority of Dutch job seekers are positive about their career prospects: 75% of job seekers are positive about the labour market, and 79% thinks the labour market will improve even more in the upcoming six months. This is according to the latest figures from the global Job Applicant Confidence Index.
The Job Applicant Confidence Index measures each quarter how optimistic job seekers are about their career prospects. In order to determine this, candidates in all age groups are asked for their opinion about all areas which affect their career.
How positive are they for example about the current labour market and the economy in general? Do they expect these to improve soon? Do they think they will be able to find a job within 3 months? And what do they think about their own career? Do they expect to develop more professional skills within a year? Or think they can get a better salary in the near future? The more positive the response to all these sub-questions by the respondents, the higher the overall figure.
