This role is part of the European Primary Transport management team, which is responsible for planning and executing inter-company primary shipments across Europe. The Transport Planner & Forecaster is responsible for managing the primary transport flows and creating the forecast and planning for future transport needs. Additionally, this role collaborates with local teams to optimise the flows within the current network.

Job Description

  • Oversee and manage transportation forecasting (12-24 months), planning (1-4 weeks), and execution (<1 week) for all lanes within the specific cluster.
  • Execute daily transportation planning activities, including carrier selection per lane, truck confirmation, load consolidation, load planning, and alignment with the warehousing team for truck loading.
  • Serve as the Key User for the Oracle Transport Management System (OTM).
  • Review and ensure shipments are successfully planned, delivered, and updated in OTM.
  • Collaborate effectively with the planning team in the hub, as well as with local warehousing, customer service, and transport teams.
  • Manage EU customs requirements fulfilment.
  • Evaluate the operational planning performance of the cluster and seek to optimise transportation and execution activities.
  • Identify, select, and run continuous improvement projects to enhance long-term operations (sustainability, cost, efficiency) in collaboration with local domestic transport teams.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate degree (MSc) is a plus.
  • Language Skills: English (required); a second language is preferred.
  • University degree in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a shared services, process-driven, or servicecenter environment.
  • Experience in the consumer goods and service industry.
  • Good understanding and experience with TMS (OTM experience is a plus).
