Over onze klant
The client is an international leader in the offshore industry. They are specialised in supplying and controlling valves for offshore and shipping industries. They have several offices across Europe and USA. Due to expansion in their purchasing department in their head-office in the Netherlands, they are looking for a buyer to join the team.
Functieomschrijving
- You purchase all non-order-related product stock from selected international suppliers for our branches at home and abroad
- You monitor and control the current stock of the various branches
- You compare suppliers and negotiate price agreements with them
- You consult with the Logistics department about stock deliveries and quality controls and handle quality questions with relevant suppliers
- Together with the Purchasing Assistant, you keep track of the item data in the ERP system
- You provide management reports on purchasing figures, complaints and stocks
- You keep track of developments in your field and come up with improvement proposals
Profiel
- MBO+/HBO working and thinking level, preferably supplemented with NEVI
- Relevant work experience in a similar position, preferably a trading company in shipping, technical logistics or petrochemicals
- Experience in working with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards or Slim4
- Excellent knowledge of and experience with MS Excel
- Good oral and written skills in the Dutch and English language
- You are motivated to master the technical product knowledge
- You can negotiate well and plan and organise
- You are used to switching quickly in a dynamic, ad-hoc environment
- You are analytical, structured and accurate
