Junior Finance Controller

In this role, you will primarily support all financial systems of their globally operating organization. You have the ambition to gradually take on more responsibilities once you are fully onboarded. E&A Scheer is a centuries-old company, active since 1712, specialized in importing, blending, and trading Rum, Batavia Arrack, and Cachaça in bulk for a wide range of national and international customers. They offer expertise in bulk sugarcane distillates sourced from distilleries all over the world. Their mission is to develop and supply consistent rum blends to industrial customers worldwide.

Functieomschrijving

  • Primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices (30%);
  • Responsible for correctly booking bank statements and preparing payment batches (10%);
  • Various ad-hoc projects (20%), such as assisting external auditors, process improvements, and financial analysis;
  • Gradually taking full responsibility for all financial activities of our UK subsidiary. This includes VAT, corporate income tax, (salary) payments, and monthly closing activities (30%);
  • Assisting the Head of Finance / Controller with various general ledger-related tasks (10%).

Profiel

  • Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, team player, able to deal with constantly changing circumstances, and capable of meeting tight deadlines;
  • MBO / HBO degree in Accounting or a related field;
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences, as they operate worldwide;
  • Excellent professional command of Dutch is a pre, both spoken and written; proficiency in English is important;
  • Digital mindset and ability to work with ERP systems.



Aanbod

  • A salary between EUR 3,600 and EUR 4,200 per month (depending on experience and skills), including attractive secondary benefits;

  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid working model (start between 7:30 and 9:30 AM; after the onboarding period, up to 2 days working from home);
