Our client is looking for an Financial Accountant who feels confident working in various systems, to join our growing finance team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible for regular accounting activities such as ensuring GAAP bookkeeping, quarter end closing activities and tax returns.

Functieomschrijving

  • Full scope bookkeeping in accordance to Dutch GAAP (AP / AR / Payroll & other manual postings.
  • General ledger entries (daily)
  • Manage intercompany transactions and related bookings
  • Tax returns for several entries
  • Assist in the yearly financial audit
  • Prepare payment batches
  • Communicate to external and internal stakeholders on AR and AP related topics.

Profiel

  • Bachelor or similar in Accountancy
  • User knowledge of SAP FI/CO
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable position;
  • Very good knowledge of accounting - knowledge of payroll accounting would be an advantage
  • Ideally knowledge in accounting according to HGB
  • High level capacity of analytical thinking, strong numerical skills and very good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Independent, team-oriented, committed and responsible way of working;
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English (also desirable is a good knowledge of the German language).
