Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing company specialising in creating unique and personalised gifting experiences for global brands. With a strong focus on quality, creativity, and efficiency, they offer a dynamic and supportive work environment. The team is currently three people, but they plan to expand significantly over the next five years, providing great opportunities for growth and development.

Functieomschrijving

  • Lead and motivate a small fulfilment team of three, ensuring high productivity and a positive working environment, with plans for significant team growth over the next five years.
  • Oversee the end-to-end fulfilment process, including personalization,, quality control, and timely shipping.
  • Manage stock levels, using inventory software to ensure accurate reporting and stock tracking.
  • Operate and maintain specialist machinery for product personalization, including embossing and embroidery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing updates and suggesting improvements to streamline operations.
  • Handle escalated customer issues, ensuring quick and effective resolutions to maintain satisfaction.
  • Take ownership of fulfilment KPIs, ensuring all targets are met while maintaining an organised and efficient work space.

Profiel

  • Leadership Experience: The ideal candidate has proven experience managing and motivating small, hands-on teams within a fulfilment or production environment, ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently and team goals are met.
  • E-commerce Fulfilment Background: They bring strong, practical experience in e-commerce operations-particularly in fast-moving, product-focused environments-and understand what it takes to get personalised products from order to doorstep.
  • Logistics & Warehouse Operations: Solid knowledge of fulfilment centre workflows, including stock control, packaging, shipping coordination, and working closely with production and personalisation stations.
  • Process Ownership & Initiative: This role requires someone who can take ownership, implement structure, and improve processes while scaling operations. You're not just maintaining; you're building.
  • Positive & Proactive Attitude: We want a "can-do" mindset-someone who thrives on taking initiative, solves problems on the floor, and is always a few steps ahead of potential issues.
  • Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement: A hands-on operator who actively identifies bottlenecks, improves workflows, and ensures seamless fulfilment operations-without needing layers of management above them.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience using Unleashed (inventory management), Monday.com (workflow/project tracking), and comfort using equipment for product personalisation and dispatch prep.
  • Fluent in English & Strong Communicator: Excellent communication and team coordination skills across a diverse, multicultural team. Dutch is a plus, but not required.
  • Work Authorization & Presence: Must be legally allowed to work in the Netherlands and be present 5 days per week in the Amsterdam fulfilment centre. Occasional travel (e.g., to the UK) for team integration and training may be needed.
